ABOUT US
Our Mission
Core Values
Five values guide how we approach our work and how we treat our customers, partners, and employees.
1. Service
Broadway was founded by a Marine Corps and Navy veteran. Service to country and community is the reason we exist, and it shapes every contract we pursue and every hire we make.
2. Integrity
We tell the truth to our customers, our teaming partners, and our employees. When something goes wrong, we say so and we fix it.
3. Innovation
We bring proven methods to every project and refine them when the mission calls for something new. Ongoing investment in training, tooling, and applied research keeps our teams current on the problems our customers face.
4. Collaboration
We work alongside our customers and teaming partners as one team. Clear communication, mutual respect, and shared ownership of outcomes run through every engagement.
5. Excellence
We measure our work against the standards our customers set, not our own. Timeliness, accuracy, and accountability are the baseline expectations for every program we run.
Our History
Broadway Ventures was founded in 2013 by a Marine Corps and Navy veteran. The name reflects two ideas: Broadway for the range of capabilities the founder saw in the federal market, and Ventures for the joint ventures that helped the company win its first federal contracts. Broadway is the controlling member of several active joint ventures, including Fed Pro Services, VetShare Services, TechSched Services, and AmeriPro Group.
Broadway has grown from a joint venture focused firm into a prime contractor in its own right. Mentor-protege relationships, steady reinvestment in people and systems, and early discipline around federal small business programs supported that growth. Broadway graduated from the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program on February 1, 2026 and continues to hold Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), HUBZone, and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) status.
Broadway employs approximately 125 people across operations headquartered in Vicksburg, Mississippi and additional locations. Hiring focuses on people who share the company’s service orientation, including retired government employees, military personnel, and industry professionals. Strong program management discipline runs through every contract. We manage work to scope, schedule, and budget, and we invest in the systems that allow our teams to perform before the contracts are won, not after.
Leadership
Lee Penton founded Broadway Ventures in 2013 with a simple conviction: the discipline and accountability he learned in uniform could deliver real results for the federal agencies that serve the country. A veteran of both the Marine Corps and the Navy, Lee built Broadway from a joint venture focused startup into a prime contractor with roughly 125 employees and an eleven year record of performance across defense, healthcare, and environmental research.
Under his leadership, Broadway has anchored long term cybersecurity and IT work supporting some of the nation’s most demanding research environments, while building a parallel healthcare practice that places experienced clinical and program staff in support of federal health missions. Lee leads the company’s growth strategy and capture efforts, and he has been deliberate about earning and maintaining the certifications, SDVOSB, HUBZone, and SDB, that reflect both Broadway’s roots and its commitment to creating sustainable jobs in the communities it calls home.
For Lee, service is not a marketing line. It is the reason the company exists, and it shapes every contract Broadway pursues and every person it hires.
